This project has grown by spurts and bounds since it’s inception:  a way to keep track of people’s backups.

So often, clients come in to our office with a computer problem, and no idea of their last backup.  It gets old, asking the dreaded question: do you know when your last backup was?

So often, that question then circles around to what the backup drive might have looked like, and when it was last connected… that is, if it was ever purchased.

We hate having to ask these questions, and having the Watchman Client installed on people’s computers will help prevent that question from being asked after it’s too late.

If Watchman Client only reported when someone’s Time Machine installation quit working, that would be enough to allow it to be a force of good in this world.
