Mac Consulting Group, Inc. quickly became a well-respected source for Apple support and service. Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the Mac Consulting Group served Apple customers including enterprises, small and medium businesses, and home users.
After developing Watchman Monitoring out of necessity for its customers, Mac Consulting Group became the first subscriber and immediately saw results. This revolutionized the way Mac Consulting Group did business. They went from reactive break-fix work to proactive, scheduled maintenance calls which ensured maximum uptime and increased peace of mind for customers.
In addition, a whole new business model formed around Watchman Monitoring. Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) was experiencing explosive growth on the Mac platform and Watchman Monitoring was perfectly positioned to be the cornerstone of an RMM offering.” Mac Consulting Group offered customers two main options:
A “monitoring only” plan for $10 per month per computer for businesses and a $15 per month per household “family pack” which included Watchman Monitoring and offered a discounted labor rate of $120 per hour (instead of $150 per hour). A second offering, referred to as “Personal Support” was offered for $25 per month per person. This included free email and phone support for issues which could be resolved in 15 minutes or less.
